Big Shows Coming to Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville This June

Brandi Carlile, Lord Huron, and Josh Johnson bring a strong run of music and comedy to downtown Asheville this June.

Asheville has several larger ticketed shows on the calendar this month, giving locals a few easy options for a downtown night out.

The biggest near-term concert is An Acoustic Evening with Brandi Carlile on Wednesday, June 10, at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium inside Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville. For fans of singer-songwriter performances, this is one of the month’s marquee music events downtown.

A few days later, Lord Huron comes to the ExploreAsheville.com Arena on Sunday, June 14, with Thao opening. Doors are listed for 7 p.m., with the show scheduled for 8 p.m. This is a strong pick for indie-folk and alternative fans, and it gives Asheville another arena-scale concert just ahead of the next workweek.

Comedy fans also have a June option: Josh Johnson’s Comedy Band Camp is scheduled for Thursday, June 19, at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, with two performances listed at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

These events are a good reminder that Harrah’s Cherokee Center remains one of Asheville’s main hubs for larger concerts, comedy shows, graduations, touring productions, and regional events. The venue’s upcoming calendar also includes Air Supply on July 9, The Princess Concert on July 10, and the Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands July 16–19.

For anyone planning to go, the usual downtown advice applies: check ticket availability, confirm event times before heading out, review venue policies, and allow extra time for parking, dinner, and getting into the building.

Local takeaway: If you’re looking for a bigger night out in Asheville this month, Harrah’s Cherokee Center has music and comedy worth watching, including Brandi Carlile on June 10, Lord Huron on June 14, and Josh Johnson on June 19.
